What to Expect When Creating Your Ring With Us
At Cherish & Co Bespoke Diamonds, we believe that jewellery should never be rushed, transactional, or impersonal, especially when it comes to something as meaningful as an engagement ring. Every piece we craft begins not with a design, but with a conversation, a feeling, a story.
If you're considering creating a bespoke engagement ring with us, this guide walks you through what to expect from first hello to final sparkle. Because this isn’t just a purchase. It’s a promise.
1: The First Conversation
Whether you reach out via Instagram, email, or our online form, your journey always begins with warmth. We take time to understand what you're looking for. Or if you're not quite sure, we will help you explore what feels right.
You’ll be paired with a dedicated design consultant who will guide you through the entire process, offering gentle expertise, visual references, and thoughtful insights. This is a space to ask questions, gather ideas, and feel heard.
What we’ll explore:
Your timeline and proposal plans (if any).
Your budget. We’ll work within it respectfully.
Style preferences. Diamond shapes, setting inspirations, or meaningful details.
2: Stone Selection - The Heart of the Ring
We curate a selection of diamonds or gemstones chosen based on your preferences, priorities, and values. We work with both lab-grown and natural diamonds, and only recommend stones we would proudly set ourselves.
Whether you're drawn to a timeless round brilliant or an elegant elongated marquise, we’ll share 2–4 stone options with full video, certification, and our honest thoughts.
This stage is about feeling connected to the stone, to the story, to what it represents.
You'll receive:
Our recommendations on cut, sparkle, and overall balance (not just stats).
High-resolution visuals of each stone (including side-by-side comparisons).
A photocopy of the GIA or IGI certificates.
3: Designing the Setting
Once your stone is selected, we’ll move into designing the setting. This is where the details come in: the prong style, band shape, hidden halos, engraving possibilities, and any personal touches that make the ring unmistakably yours. Every curve, claw, and subtle line is considered with intention, weaving together aesthetic beauty with enduring function.

4: Rendering & Preview
Once the design is confirmed, we’ll create a digital rendering (CAD) of your bespoke ring. This 3D preview allows you to visualise the ring from every angle.
This step is about more than approval. It's the moment your dream becomes something tangible, detailed, and deeply personal. Only when you’re fully happy with the design will we move into production.
You'll have the chance to:
Review the overall proportions and structure.
Suggest any refinements (we welcome your thoughts).
Feel confident that what you imagined is exactly what we’re creating.
5: Craftsmanship in Motion
Once you’ve approved the final design, your ring enters the hands of our master craftsmen. Every piece is handcrafted with precision and care, using premium materials and strict quality control at every stage.
Bespoke rings typically take 4–6 weeks to complete, depending on complexity. If you have a special date in mind, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.
6: The Reveal
O/nce your ring is complete, we’ll invite you to schedule a private appointment to collect it in person. This final step isn’t just about receiving the ring, it’s a moment of celebration, care, and connection.
We encourage in-person collection whenever possible, as it allows us to:
Walk you through the finished piece, personally.
Share care tips and polishing guidance.
Answer any final questions you may have.
Ensure your ring fits just right before it leaves our hands.
You’ll receive your ring in our signature Cherish & Co Bespoke Diamonds box, along with your diamond or gemstone certificate, a care guide, and the warmest congratulations from us.
It’s the last chapter of the creation journey, and the quiet beginning of something beautiful.
